What is the difference between Class 3 and Class 4 shingles?
Class 4 shingles are impact resistant and many insurance companies will offer discounts if you replace with this upgrade. Wind is the difference between a 110 mph wind rating and 130 wind rating. Storm pattern nailing, we always use 6 nails per shingle.

What to look for in a roofer:
Someone who is committed to high quality work, licensed in your area, has current insurance gl and wc, and is willing to spend time with you to answer questions, not someone who knocks on your door the evening after a storm. Be aware of high pressure sales tactics typical of “door knocking” sales guys. You do not have to sign a contract right away and it is illegal to not have a price on a contract. It is important to choose a roofer who demonstrates ethical business standards, is willing to stand behind their work, and is trained and experienced.
