Rockies Fall to Giants 4-2, Face D-backs Tonight
The Colorado Rockies (2-4) were unable to overcome a 4-0 deficit against the San Francisco Giants (2-4) yesterday afternoon, leaving 49-year old Jamie Moyer with a loss in his debut at home in a Rockies uniform. The Rockies have now dropped two of three in the first two series of the season, and open a weekend series against the Arizona Diamondbacks (5-1) tonight at 6:40 at Coors Field (TV: Root Sports).
The long, tough slog to the National League West title continues for Arizona and Colorado tonight, when the two division rivals meet for the first time this season. The Rockies will be the third straight West opponent for the D-backs, and the two clubs will match young starters Juan Nicasio and Daniel Hudson against each other in the series opener.
