Rockies Erupt for 17 Runs in Win Over Giants

Just four games into the new season, many have been asking questions about the scoring ability of the Rockies (2-3). After combining for ten runs in their first four games (including being shutout on Monday), Colorado knocked in 17 last night, sending San Francisco’s (1-4) Tim Linceum to the showers in the shortest appearance of his career. The Rockies close out the series this afternoon at Coors Field (TV: 1:10pm, Root Sports).
Lincecum gave up six runs in 2 1/3 innings before relief was called in. However the Rockies blew the lead, giving up seven runs in the top of the fourth. That proved not to matter on a night when the Rockies just kept scoring.
Official: Box Score.
