Having such a captivating voice, combined with the remarkable ability to convey raw emotions through her music are just a few of the reasons that Janis Joplin was, and still is, considered to be the queen of rock and roll. Experience the evolution of her legendary career March 10-12 when the musical, A Night with Janis Joplin, comes to the Lincoln Center in Fort Collins.

From once feeling like a complete misfit in a small Texas town, Joplin eventually learned to embrace her quirkiness and exploded into the music scene, performing in front of sell-out crowds and at renown festivals all around the country. Let the talented cast take you back to the 60's and 70's with unforgettable songs once performed by Joplin herself, including "Me and Bobby McGee" and "Piece of My Heart." Plus, hear the music from other artists like Aretha Franklin and Bessie Smith, who greatly inspired and helped to influence the late rocker's distinct style. Though her life was cut short, the electric spirit of Janis lives on through her soulful music and also through this special performance that truly captures what she was all about.

Showtimes for A Night with Janis Joplin are at 7:30 p.m. on all three nights, with an additional daytime performance happening at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 12. Tickets range from $20 to $55, with special group rates available, and can be purchased online or in-person at the Lincoln Center Box office, located at 417 West Magnolia Street in Fort Collins.
