Road Rage Incident Leaves One Dead in Northern Colorado
At about 6:00 last night, the Platteville Police Department was notified of a traffic accident with injuries at HWY 85 and WCR 32 ½ between the towns of Gilcrest and Platteville.
When Officers arrived on scene they discovered that two vehicles were involved; a Black Ford Ranger and a Green Subaru. The Ford Ranger rolled and the driver was declared dead at the scene as a result of the accident.
Preliminary investigation found this incident was a result of road rage. The driver of the Green Subaru, an off-duty Ault Police Officer, has been taken into custody as the only suspect. 48-year-old Blair Jackson was booked into the Weld County Jail and will be charged with Second Degree Homicide as well as Reckless Driving Resulting in Death.
