Friday was a very difficult day at our house. We had to put down our beloved eldest pug Mini Pug. Mini was nearly 15 and lived a loved long life but will be greatly missed. Mini was the only survivor of litter birthed by our previous pug Wynonna and we just had to keep her. Mini was always a little anxious and jittery because all she ever wanted was our attention alone.

Mini was the one dog who could sense how you were feeling and would always be there by your side. If you were sick, she knew it and would just lay beside you. If you wanted to watch TV, she was right on the floor beside you. She was the perfect companion. All she ever wanted was to be with us. My other 2 dogs are the ones with issues, Mini was just sweet. I am left with Oprah the pug and Chevy the min pin bit bull mix i inherited who is just the devil. We have said many times that Chevy is the one who needs to go but he is a healthy vibrant youngster who will make our lives hell for years to come...bless his heart.

Putting Mini down was the hardest decision, yet we knew it was right. She could barley walk anymore and we had to carry her outside to go to the bathroom. She wanted to be a puppy but her body just wouldn't let her anymore. We struggled with the decision but Mini was so sweet. She was as calm as she has been in years and let us know that it was okay and that she was ready. I know she was talking to me. I think they are smarter than we are. She was making sure that I knew that she was okay with it. I thank her for that. We held her and kissed her as she slipped away knowing how much we loved her. Right as she was taking her last breath, my wife Kyla leaned down to kiss and told her to "make sure they send someone for Chevy". We laughed and cried hard together. Thank you for your love, companionship and all the years of unconditional friendship. I will always love you Mini and will miss you at my side. Take care of her Lord until we meet again. She's a good girl.
