Red Flag Fire Warning Today Above 6000 Feet In Larimer & Boulder County

High winds and extremely dry conditions have prompted a Red Flag Warning until 5 p.m. today. The National Weather Service issued the warning just after 3 p.m. yesterday.
The warning is in effect for Larimer and Boulder counties between 6,000 and 9,000 feet.
A Red Flag Warning simply means conditions are ideal for a wildfire. Higher temperatures with increasing winds increase the chances for wildfires today. Winds are expected to gust up to 45 mph.
