Recipe Rescue: The Ultimate Burger
I love burgers, I love them loaded and I love them basic with a piece of cheese and nothing more. This is one of my favorite burgers.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
1 lb of hamburger, 4 poblano chili peppers (roasted on open stove top flame or in broiler, remove skin and stem), 4 slices of Monterey Jack cheese, prepared Guacamole and cooked bacon... don't forget a good bun
PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER:
Divide the hamburger into four patties, fry in a large skillet with salt, pepper and a dash of cumin (optional), toast the bun in the skillet you made the burgers in slather with Guacamole, add the burger top with the roasted chili pepper, then the bacon and finish by laying the cheese on top of that, place the burger without the top bun under the broiler just until the cheese melts and top with other bun. (other optional items include tomatoes and lettuce, I like it just like this though)
(for healthier fries cut 3 russet potatoes like fries, boil for 15 minutes, pat dry, salt and put on a baking sheet in the oven at 425 until they are golden brown)
