Recipe Rescue: Sweet Basil Thai Chicken Wings
I didn’t know that I like these… what? I was at a house gathering recently and I was like wow what is this… good stuff, Sweet Basil Thai Chicken Wings!
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
1 family packs of chicken wings, 1 Tbs of minced garlic, 1 Thai chili pepper (chopped), 2 Tbs fish sauce, 1 Tbs of oyster sauce, a pinch or two of sugar (granulated white), sprinkle or two of soy sauce, couple of splashes of chicken broth (about 1/3 cup), 1 red pepper (diced) and Thai basil (about 1/2 a cup-if you can’t find Thai basil regular basil will work)
PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER:
Arrange chicken wings on a baking sheet and cook (turning once halfway through) at 425 degrees for about 30 minutes
Meanwhile in a saucepan heat a little canola oil and cook down the garlic for about a minute, then add the chili pepper and red pepper cook for another minute and then add the fish sauce, oyster sauce, soy sauce, sugar and chicken broth. Bring this to a simmer (bubbly just before a full boil) then reduce heat to low.
When chicken wings are cooked through put in large bowl and while hot toss with the sauce.
