WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

4 or 5 apples (such as a Suncrisp, a tart apple), 1 puff pastry sheet, 1 cup of light brown sugar, half a stick of butter and a pinch of salt

PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER:

Peel, core and thinly slice apples. Roll out puff pastry 1″ in each direction, lay apples on puff pastry, slightly overlapping, sprinkle with the brown sugar and cube the half stick of butter and place atop the apples. Bake at 400 for 30 minutes or until the pastry and apple edges begin to brown. * Optional: dust with powdered sugar and enjoy
