Dinner has to get on the table in a hurry these days and the simpler the better when it comes to home cooking. I get that there is plenty of time for experimenting on the weekend, so what's for dinner tonight, quick and easy chicken pot pie.



A package of crescent rolls, 1 can (or 2 if you like it meatier), a package of frozen mixed veggies ( I like carrots and peas), 2 cans of chicken broth and 2 cans of cream of chicken.


It's slow cooker time, put the chicken, soup and broth into the slow cooker on low and go to work. When you get home add the veggies to the slow cooker and unroll the crescent rolls in one piece place on a baking sheet and cook till golden brown. I like to cut a small square of the crescent rolls and place in the bottom of the bowl or plate and then add some of the chicken mixture then top with another crescent square. (if you are feeding more than four people you may want to use to cans of crescent rolls)
