 WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

1 ½ - 2 lbs ground beef/hamburger, 1 large can of refried beans **,1 chopped onion, 1 small can diced green chiles and jalapenos, 1 ½ - 2 lbs Velveeta Cheese (diced)

** I like to cook a crock pot of pinto beans, drain some of the juice off and then mash them.  If I need more beans, then I’ll put in a can of drained pinto beans.

PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER:

Brown ground beef and drain off fat.  Add chopped onions just before ground beef is done.  Add green chiles and jalapenos, stir.  Alternate adding diced cheese and beans, stirring until cheese and beans are mixed in.  Don’t worry about cheese melting; this will happen warming in crock pot.

Warm in crock pot till ready to use, serve with tortilla chips.

Variations:

You can add a can of cheddar cheese soup and Nacho Soup and reduce the amount of Velveeta or leave the Velveeta the same and have a cheesier dip.
