If you are adventurous and pizza, this will become a weekly favorite. Light up the grill, we're re-inventing the pizza!

What You'll Need:

4lLarge nice portobello mushrooms
2 Tbsp olive oil
1 10oz can tomato puree
OR
1 14oz can petite dice tomatoes
2 garlic cloves, or 1 Tbsp minced garlic
1 small onion, finely diced
1 tsp each oregano and basil
s/p to taste
1 cup Italian blend shredded cheese

and meat or veggies or both for
topping (optional)

Putting It All Together:

Heat tomato puree or petite
diced tomatoes, depending on which
you chose, both are great, really
just depends if you like it smooth
or chunky.

to the tomato mix in 1 Tbsp olive
oil, garlic,the oregano,basil and small
finely diced onion. (you can saute the
onion first in a splash of olive oil,
but it's not necessary)
-before using taste to see if it needs
s/p.

While this is simmering, covered on low,
preheat grill.

brush the portobello's with olive oil
on both sides.

grill portobello's about 3-5 minutes
on each side, move to warming rack and
top with sauce and cheese.
-if you want to add other veggies or
meat, this is when you would do that.
