Recipe Rescue: Easy Green Chile Can Casserole
This recipe came across my desk years ago and its still a keeper, try this easy green chile can casserole.
INGREDIENTS FOR EASY GREEN CHILE CAN CASSEROLE
2 cans of canned chicken (save money by using just one), 1 chopped onion, 1 can each of cream of mushroom, cream of chicken and cheddar cheese soup(s), 1 small can of chopped pimentos, 1 (or 2 if you love chiles) can of chopped green chiles, 1/2 pound of Velveeta cheese cut into small cubes, 1/4 pound of mozzarella or monterey jack cheese 1 Tablespoon of Veg oil an 1 pkg of flour tortillas
MAKING EASY GREEN CHILE CAN CASSEROLE
In a skillet cook the onion for a minute or two and add the canned chicken (drained) with the oil. Put a third of the chicken and onions in the bottom of a 9×13 baking dish top with tortillas, add half of all other ingredients and repeat, make sure the chilies are on top. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until bubbly and brown.
