My eldest daughter Natasha can't get enough our holiday cookie salad. This year I am trying something new for me and asking the big kids to bring a dish. Natasha has decided to bring the cookie salad. It is very light and simple and always a favorite, got a minute? Then you have time to whip up cookie salad.

Fruit Salad 1

What You'll Need:

1 bag of small marshmallows (plain or multi-colored)
1 large container of whipped topping
1 pkg of fudge stripped cookies, crushed
1 can of fruit cocktail, drained well
1 can of mandarin oranges, drained well

Putting It All Together:

In a large glass bowl mix together the whipped topping and marshmallows, then incorporate
3/4 of the crushed cookies, mix well now fold in the fruit (setting aside a few oranges and a
Tbsp of the fruit cocktail for garnish) top the fruit salad with the remaining crushed cookies
and the oranges and fruit cocktail you set aside. Cover with plastic wrap and chill for at least
and hour before serving. (I usually make this the night before)

Natasha says when she makes it she is only going to use the mandarin oranges and double them. I asked why and she said that the fruit cocktail wasn't her favorite, I titled my head and then asked why then would this be such a favorite of hers? I am still waiting for the answer, either way its a family favorite, at least the way I make it, and that's all that matters. I am thankful for this strong minded, self assured young lady and all the others as well-come to think of it, they are all strong minded??? Wonder where that comes from... lol!
