I got an email the other day from Alycia Carmin who invited me to a Quilts of Valor event and I couldn't say no. Do you quilt?  This may be your calling.

Quilts of Valor is just that.  It's a group of quilters from all over the country who do some incredible quilting and then donate them to combat veterans.  Their work has been featured on national television and thanks to Alycia, they are being done right here in Northern Colorado as well.

We have been making these quilts since 2005 here in Colorado - and our quilts go to Ft Carson in the Warriors in Transition Battalion, various veterans that are in programs through the VA's and to an Equine therapy program - Alycia Carmin

In fact, I have been invited by Alycia to their next event right here in Greeley this weekend not to sew, but to observe and check it out. However, if you are a quilter and would like to get involved then by all means contact Alycia Carmin via her blog page or call her at 970-352-8802 to get involved.
