My wife, Jenny, is taking a photography class. One of their assignments took them to the North Park Pioneer Museum in Walden, CO.

It's not very hard to find, but if you need the address, it is 87 Logan Street. The museum is just a little over two hours from downtown Fort Collins.

  • The museum is open Memorial Day - Labor Day
  • Also open by appointment: 970-723-3282

Museum History

The original cabin was built on a strip of land by the Platte River bridge for Jacob Johnson in 1882.  It was moved into Walden in 1961.  The North Park Pioneer Museum opened in 1963 when Vic Hans donated the building to the museum assocaton.   The museum houses 3 floors and 27 rooms filled with authentic North Park memorabilia.
