I think one of the biggest problems with the world today in right in the palms of our hands. We are spending way too much time on the phone and not paying attention to our families. Everybody is on the phone but no one is talking. When you are in public, you will see countless kids trying to get their parents attention who are fixated on their phones instead of their kids.

My grandkids are so lucky to have gramma at home who makes them the priority and will not touch her phone until the kids are occupied. She will play with them, put on goofy glasses, plan activities and make it all about them...which it should be.

Do yourself and your family a favor and give them 15 minutes of your time every day when you get home before you reach for your phone. Fifteen minutes is not much time but it can mean the world to your family to have your uninterrupted attention for a few minutes each day. We give so much of ourselves to people and things that don't matter yet we short change those who deserve us the most. You can watch that goofy video of a bird singing songs from 'Frozen' later, right now your kids are making memories right in front of you and you are too busy being wrapped up in the worlds of others. Get wrapped up in your own world and get to know your loved ones. They are pretty awesome people. You may have seen some of your friends posts about them. Drop the phone and play with them.
