Poudre School District Wants to Beat the Heat Problem in Fort Collins Schools

Well, this was a first in my long broadcasting career.  All of us on the morning shows are pros at school closures. Snow and winter storm conditions put students in danger.

But this summer was so hot that classes were canceled due to the lack of air conditioning.
Tomorrow, a committee of parents, community members and employees will meet to discuss ways to beat the heat in Poudre School District building.

The committee will make recommendations to Superintendent Sandra Smyser on how to cope with classroom temperatures that climbed into the 90′s at the beginning of this
school year. According to the Coloradoan, school officials say no options are off the table, including calendar modifications.
