The Poudre River Young Marines are hosting their first ever motorcycle poker run. The reason behind the fundraiser is for the trip of a lifetime.

The Poudre River Young Marines are headed to Hawaii on December 7, with your help, for Pearl Harbor Days 2015.  PRYM is a non-profit 501c3 youth education and service program and this is a wonderful chance for these boys and girls to see and learn about Pearl Harbor first hand.

To help raise funds, they have joined forces with the VFW District 3 Warriors for a poker run to be held this Saturday, April 19. Registration takes place at the Greeley VFW Post 2121 (2514 7th Avenue) starting at 9:00 a.m. Cost is $20 per hand and $15 for a passenger. Breakfast will also be available for $8 and served from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

All the stops on the run will be manned by the Poudre River Young Marines and they would dearly love to see a good showing of bikes. Stops include Wellington, Carter Lake, Fort Collins and Masonville. The run ends at the VFW Post 2585 (104 E S 1st Street) in Johnstown. There will be an auction and 50/50 raffle starting at 2:00 p.m.

The Young Marines is not a recruiting tool by any means nor does it have any political affiliation. What they do is simple. They promote a healthy lifestyle for boys and girls ages 8 through high school. They teach honor, courage and commitment and a drug-free way of life.
