Fort Collins Police Services is seeking information about a suspect involved in an attempted sexual assault that happened last week.

According to a news release, police received a report from a female who says a man was following her a little too close for comfort south on Remington as she was leaving Old Town in the early morning hours of Saturday, August 6. She reported a Hispanic male began walking with her and they held a brief conversation before she began to feel uncomfortable.

The victim ran away, but the man caught up and attempted to sexually assault her. She was able to fight him off and ran to safety before calling police.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male with dark, wavy hair in his 20s. He is approximately 5'10" to 6' tall with an average build. He spoke in accented English but also conversed with the victim in Spanish, police say.

If you have any information about the suspect described or the incident, please contact Detective Jason Curtis at 970-416-2776 or Crime Stoppers of Larimer County at 970-221-6868. Those who contact Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
