Australian pilot Matt Hall has experienced fear, terror and joy all in the time span of about 5 seconds. Check out this video of his mistake and even better correction.

Being the son of a pilot, I have spent more hours than I can count in small planes. My Dad, who learned how to fly in the Navy, flew a Cessna 152 and 172 throughout my childhood. Later in life, when he was in Alaska, my brother and Dad each owned a Citabria which is the plane I learned how to fly in.

So, I have always been fond of planes to a certain extent and though I don't set my DVR to air races, I rarely turn away from them when I stumble across one on TV.

Take a peek at this awesome piece of flying I ran into on YouTube.

Australian pilot Matt Hall made a huge error during a Red Bull race in 2010 when he stalled his racer just feet above the water and if it hadn't been for his cat like reflexes (his reaction in the cockpit is classic) to his mistake, this would have been one epic wreck. I'm pretty sure the crease is probably still in that seat from when his keister tightened up.
