Today is a very sad day here at the radio station. We have been expecting it for some time but still you are never fully prepared for it. Our dear sweet Cyndy Kukus lost her battle with cancer last night.
We are proud to be men. I try to be a manly man but at times I fail miserably. I run from spiders and snakes but can ride a motorcycle and love using a chainsaw. I can get a cut, lick off the blood and call it good. I love sports and meat.
It was on this date in 1906 that Karl Nessler gave the first perm on someone's head. I am sure many of you have some bad photos from past perms gone wrong. I actually have never had one but have had naturally bad hair many times in my hair career.
Tony Bennett is an 88 year old musical legend. Everyone in the recording industry, it seems, has recorded a duet with this guy. He has earned the right to make a mistake or two. He made a big one yesterday.
Halloween is just a little over 3 weeks away. We are getting ready at our house. The costumes are ready and we even grew our own pumpkins this year. It was so fun for my grandson Zander to plant the seeds and see his great pumpkin harvest.
Technology is killing so many of the things that we grew up knowing. You can't find a pay phone anymore and they used to be on every corner. The sales of magazines and newspapers are way down as people are using their tablets to get that info.
The CSU Rams are on fire. They are 9-3 in their last 12 games which is the best 12 game stretch in over 10 years. Last week we had coach McElwain on and they ended up beating Boston College to go 3-1 on the season.
We are all feed up with ISIS and terrorist activities. Country stars Billy Dean and Larry Gatlin are too. They got together just the other night and wrote a new patriotic song called "An American with a Remington".
