"Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me." That is one of biggest loads of crap I have ever heard. We have all heard that saying for years and most believe it's true. I could not disagree more.
Just wanted to drop a quick "thank you" to everyone who supported the Habajeeba Show last Friday at the UCCC in Greeley. The morning started great when my boss George showed up with "Habajeeba" pastries.
There are new albums released every week. One of my favorite things to do is get a new CD and discover something I have never heard before and fall in love with it. I have found a new musical treat that I can't get enough of, the debut release from Jon Pardi "Write You A Song".
Today is a special anniversary for me. It was 7 years ago today that I had a heart attack. I can't believe 7 years have past. I cherish everyday that I am here and am so grateful to still be here loving this life I get to live. I will never forget that day.
As you know, I get to spend a lot of time with my grandsons. I am very lucky to get to be a male influence to these little buddies. One of the things I want to teach them is to be fearless when it comes to getting in front of people and performing.
It is no secret that I love children. I find them to be wiser, kinder and much more fun than adults. They have a way of making you happy when the world does all it can to make happiness seem unachievable.
Football and food go together. You can't have a Bronco party without some tasty treats to go along with the game. I have many favorites, like those little sausages wrapped in crescent rolls, and of course chips and a killer dip.
There are few things more entertaining than watching our local kids participate in extracurricular activities. My kids have grown and that is one of the things I really miss. I cannot wait until my grand sons get old enough to be involved.
There is no secret that Elvis is still the king to me. Even though he has been gone for over 35 years there is still no one like him. If Elvis were alive he would be celebrating his 79th birthday today.
