August 13, 2012 Hard to believe but the 2nd annual National Rally for Journey 4 Justice is only 3 weeks away and many of us are chomping at the bit to see old friends, meet some new ones and raise some flag waving hell on the doorstep of Americas Most Hated Family.
The High Park Fire Fire is 100% contained at 87,284 acres. It should be noted that "containment" means that a containment line exists around the fire, which fire managers believe will hold the fire within the perimeter. "Control" means that the fire is actually out which, on a fire of this magnitude, typically requires an act of nature such as prolonged rain or snowfall.
Hot spots will continue to exist within the perimeter during the containment phase and residents should expect to see smoke for days and weeks as the fire moves from containment to control.
Fire crews and other work crews will be working in the fire area all week. Citizens are urged to avoid the area if possible and drive cautiously and defensively.
Residents are urged to read the material posted at larimer.org/highparkfire regarding returning home and clean-up efforts.
The 90th Annual Greeley Stampede doesn't officially get underway until this coming Friday, June 22nd, but the folks at the Stampede have a little warm up for us tonight. The Stampede Arena at Island Grove Regional Park will be filled with dirt, but not for rodeo. Monster trucks, a motorcycle stuntman, atv racing and tuff trucks all take center stage in Greeley tonight!
May 18, 2012 The Colorado Rockies (15-22) bullpen couldn't hold on against the Arizona Diamondbacks (17-22), en route to a 9-7 loss yesterday in Denver. All nine of the Arizona runs were scored with two outs. Colorado led 4-1 and 7-4 before finally coming up short. The Rockies open a 3-game series against the Seattle Mariners (16-24) tonight at 6:40 at Coors Field (TV: Root Sports).

Starting with A Better Man in 1989, Clint rolled off a string of 30 singles from 9 studio albums, including 13 number-one hits; and you're going to hear 'em all on June 25th in Greeley at the K99 concerts.
As widely expected, Ashton Kutcher will officially replace Charlie Sheen on 'Two and a Half Men' next fall.
"I can't wait to get to work with this ridiculously talented 2.5 team and I believe we can fill the stage with laughter that will echo in viewers' homes," Kutcher said in a statement released Friday. "I can't replace Charlie Sheen but I'm going to work my ass off to entertain the hell out of people!"
