Well it's closing in on a month since I decided to start a healthier way of living. I stress again that I am not on a diet. A diet is something you do temporally to lose weight fast. I have changed the way I live. I will still have the occasional pizza and fried chicken, I will just be intelligent about it. I am not stepping on scales because I am not interested in a number, I am just interested in feeling better.

I have replaced the gas station sausage biscuit with a bowl of oatmeal and an apple each morning, and I am taking my medications when I should. This is something I have struggled with. Even though I know I am supposed to do my shot of insulin and take my pills, I sometimes just can't get myself to take them and I don't know why. I know that when I do what I should I feel sooo much better. I have more energy than I have had in some time, and I have even been taking walks. This has been a bit painful as I had back surgery a year ago, and my hips and legs tend to ache terrible when I walk but I am fighting through it and getting in some exercise. I have a lot of challenges facing me, and I will need to be the strongest me possible. If I can make a change, you can too. Join me on my journey to healthier life.
