Olympic sendoff for Former CSU Long Jumper Janay DeLoach Friday

Former CSU star Janay DeLoach will represent Team USA at the London, Olympics and the entire community is invited to a public sendoff  on Friday (July 20th) in Fort Collins.  The  event is at 4:30 p.m. tomorrow at CSU’s Glenn Morris Field House.

DeLoach  qualified for the 2012 Summer Games in London by finishing third in the long jump at the U.S. Olympic Trials.

According to a press release from CSU:

DeLoach, CSU track coach Brian Bedard and assistant Tim Cawley, her personal coach, will speak. Refreshments will be served; the event is free and open to all fans.

DeLoach is the only athlete with CSU ties competing in the Games.  She will be among the last athletes to compete, with the women’s long jump preliminary round Aug. 7th and finals the following day.
