I love flowers and offer try to pretend that I am a great landscape design architect-I'm not. But, I have fun planting and it grounds me with peace and calm. Plus it looks Pretty.

Every that I can remember I have planted annuals around my front yard tree(s), well if you can remember back awhile our front tree got sick and we had to chop her down. Now we have a little baby tree standing in her place and as I looked at her, I thought you need some flowers!

THIS IS HOW IT STARTED

We also had a little sprinkler mishap that left a larger space than I had originally thought, but I think I did okay.

I have learned that as much as I like to pretend I know what I am doing, I really don't. I tried to plan out a color scheme (as close to Rocky colors as possible). The idea got a little muddled as I actually began planting, I guess nature can't be planned-ha!

Little back story about Pansy's, I have never planted them. I always thought they were too common. Well here's the truth, they are hearty little flowers that stick around for a long time and want to just keep blooming seemingly until Jack Frost hits town.

It's hard to show you exactly how this all unfolded, but I think that these shots are a pretty good example...

The only addition that I forgot to get a pic of was a beautiful beaded lawn butterfly that I got from My Natasha and her best friend Kale (like a son) for Mothers Day... It's one of those yard decorations that you stick in flowerbeds and such, its amazing, like the people that gave it to me.

Because there was so much extra room, I went around the yard and tried to find some rocks to incorporate into my grand design...
