Swetsville Zoo has a Fort Collins address and is located on Harmony Road, right on the Poudre River. However, most locals would tell you it is really in Timnath. It's been there since the mid 80s, when Bill Swets started making prehistoric and futuristic sculptures out of old car and farm implement parts.

It truly is a magical place.  If you haven't taken your kids there yet, it is a must see.  If you haven't taken Grandma & Grandpa, they need to see it too.  Its absolutely free, but they do take donations to help maintain the zoo.  There are dinosaurs and birds and flowers and and even cows made out of metal.  It really is a sight to see and a great place for a picnic.

HOW DO I GET THERE

Swetsville Zoo is at 4801 East Harmony Road, Fort Collins. Take the Harmony Road Exit off I-25 (Exit 265), Go East on Harmony Road for less that a mile. It's on the right side of the road. If you go across the bridge, you have gone too far.

I snapped a few pictures with my iPhone to give you an idea what you can find there.
