Weather in Colorado is the eighth world wonder -- we'll never have it figured out. But, last week (Oct. 19), the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Climate Prediction Center made its projections for winter weather conditions in 2017.

Will the next few months be warmer and dryer, or cooler and wetter? Neither? Ehh, both. According to NOAA, Northern Colorado is projected to have a winter that is warmer, for the most part, but we're also predicted to get a little more moisture than average.

According to NPR, this is because of La Nina, a weather pattern that causes 'greater-than-average snowfall around the Great Lakes and in the northern Rockies.' So, for those of us who love our winters blanketed in snow, this is good news, but it also doesn't look like we're going to get nailed with tons of it.

However, for most of the country in general, this winter is predicted to be a slightly warmer one, as it was last year. NOAA explains it here:
