Coming up in September, another Honor Flight will again take to the skies loaded with Veterans from Northern Colorado to go pay their respects at their respective memorials in Washington D.C.. But, the trips are not free, and this Saturday, is an event I hope to see hundreds of motorcycles and people at. Just by showing up and donating a few bucks is a solid way to show them you're grateful.

This Saturday (July 13), the Ault VFW post #4334 (104 1st St.) will host a poker run to raise money to help pay for the September Honor Flight.

All proceeds and donations will go directly to expenses incurred for the September flight to Washington.

Registration starts at 9:00 AM at the VFW post in Ault and the cost is $20 per person and $10 for a passenger.  The ride includes stops in Cheyenne, Wellington, Fort Collins and Severance before ending at the American Legion in Windsor. There will be an old fashioned BBQ and entertainment starting at 2:00 PM with prizes, raffles and other goodies.

For more information or to help/donate please contact Dave Gelatt at 970-396-2534 or you can email him at dgelatt@netzero.net.
