No Verdict Yet in Penny Flatts Trial in Fort Collins

Benjamin Gilmore is charged with setting fire to an apartment building under construction in October 2011. The fire spread to the Penny Flats apartment complex which caused $10 million in damage. Gilmore is charged with arson, attempted murder and criminal mischief.

Jurors went home yesterday after just two hours of deliberations in the second Penny Flats arson trial after just two hours of deliberations. They did not reach a verdict. The jury will return today to continue deliberations.

After six days of deliberations in the fall of 2012, the judge in the Gilmore trial issued a mistrial after the jury said they were split on the charges.
