Peyton Manning may have put his name in the record books on Thursday night, but he apparently didn’t put it in one newspaper.

Manning tied an NFL record by tossing seven touchdown passes to lead the Denver Broncos past the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night in the league’s first game of the season.

The Columbus Dispatch, however, didn't think it was such a memorable effort because it couldn't even remember who was playing quarterback for the Broncos -- it printed a story with a headline saying former Broncos great John Elway threw the seven TD passes. Geez, what's a guy gotta do to get noticed, huh? And if he's going to be the victim of mistaken identity, you'd think it would be with his brother, Eli.

This blunder should leave the editors over at the Dispatch feeling more embarrassed than everyone in the Ravens secondary who suited up.
