A new pizza joint is planning to open in Loveland in February of 2016. (Just in time to help you right out of that 2016 resolution to lose weight.) According to the Loveland Reporter-Herald, Garlic Jim's Gourmet Pizza is renovating the former Nick-N-Willy's Pizza location at 1433 N. Denver Avenue. The exact date of opening depends on the construction progress.

Garlic Jim's boasts their own recipe for hand-tossed crusts that features buttermilk and parmesan cheese as well as 100 percent whole-milk mozzarella cheese and sauce that's packed right after the tomatoes are picked in California, said Kevin Woolley, vice president of the Mill Creek, Washington-based company. The other cool thing, they won approval for a beer and wine license. Owner, Kimberly Neeper said theirs will be the third in the chain to have a dine-in area, and she plans to serve some locally brewed beers on tap and in bottles.

The Loveland location will be the second in Colorado for Garlic Jim's, with the first in Highlands Ranch. Most of the other 16 stores are in Washington and Oregon, however, the company is expanding into Colorado and Texas.
