I can still picture the little yellowish box under our TV. I remember when dad brought it home. We couldn't believe it. A game you could play on your TV?!? Yes, it was true and it was called PONG. The home video game era had begun and the world would never be the same again. That was in 1972. It was a far cry from the graphics of Halo or today's games but my goodness, was it a blast at the time.

My brother and I would spend hours in front of that TV trying to get that little blip of light past the other guys little lit up line segment. If you really wanted to get crazy you could change the setting and have two line segments on each side to try to hit the blip with. I am telling you, it was hours of endless fun. I guess we were easy to entertain back then. Happy birthday PONG. Thanks for the memories.
