Some artists are so good they only need one name. We have had Reba, Dolly, Patsy, Conway, Waylon, Willie, Merle, Garth and more. Shania Twain is another one who only needs one name and we all know who we are talking about. There is only one Shania and what she achieved in this format is flat out amazing.

In the 90's Garth Brooks was breaking every record for male country stars, meanwhile Shania was doing the same things to all the records set by female artists. On this date in 1997 Shania's album "The Woman in Me" became the first album by a female artist to have certified shipments of 10 million copies. That is just unheard of and will more than likely never happen again.

This record setting record had the hits "(If You're Not in it For Love) I'm Outta Here", "Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under", "Any Man of Mine", "You Win My Love", "No One Needs to Know" and more. This album alone could be a greatest hits album. Congrats on the anniversary of you amazing achievement Shania.

Here are a few classic from that album.
