The Navy announced on Friday the names of five new attack class submarines-

KDVR is reporting on Secretary of the Navy's announcement on Friday of four new Virgina-class attack submarines that will be constructed soon.

The names of the five ships:  USS Illinois- USS Indiana- USS South Dakota- USS Washington..

And The USS Colorado!

The Virgina-Class nuclear propulsion subs will be the latest in America's Naval submarine technology.

From KDVR:

“These submarines will have the capability to attack targets ashore with highly accurate Tomahawk cruise missiles and conduct covert long-term surveillance of land areas, littoral waters or other sea-based forces,” a Defense department statement says.

The USS Colorado will be one sophisticated lady.  Very cool!
