They say to face your fears to overcome them. They are wrong. I have never been a subscriber to this theory. That is like saying if you are afraid of guns to shoot yourself in the foot and see if you are still scared. I have a huge fear of heights and tried bungee jumping to see if it would help me get over my fears. I am more afraid now than ever.

Today is National Face Your Fears Day. This is the day set aside to face and overcome your fears. I know for some this is possible but not for this dude. I have many fears in my life but I have narrowed it down to my top 5. I am afraid of closed spaces. I get claustrophobia terribly bad and start freaking when I am in a closed in area. I am afraid of snakes. I hate everything about them. I can't even look at pictures of them. I used to even hate fishing with worms because  they reminded me of little snakes. I am afraid of mayonnaise. I believe this creamy white substance is actually the devils pus. I am afraid of heights. I get weak in the knees climbing in a big truck and finally... I am afraid of running out of bacon.

Today I shall climb a ladder to a crowded rooftop filled with snakes carrying jars of mayonnaise without the benefit of bacon and see if I feel better about me.
What are you afraid of?
