My wife and were just in Nashville, Tennessee for the Good Morning Guys induction into the Country Radio Hall of Fame. While we were there, we didn't have much time for site seeing. However, we visit one of Nashville's most iconic buildings and it wasn't the Ryman Auditorium.

The Parthenon in  is a full-scale replica of the original Parthenon in Athens. It was built in 1897 as part of the Tennessee Centennial Exposition. It happened to be across the street from our hotel.

Today Nashville's Parthenon is used as an art museum. It is the centerpiece of Centennial Park, a large public park next to Vanderbilt University.

The re-creation of the 42-foot statue Athena is the focus of the Parthenon just as it was in ancient Greece. The building and the Athena statue are both full-scale replicas of the Athenian originals.

My lovely wife, Jenny, took some great photos!
