Recording Artist & Eaton Resident Austin Wahlert Writes Song for Daughter [VIDEO]

My wife and I had dinner with Austin Wahlert, his wife Justine and their daughter Raegan about a week ago.  Austin told me about this song he had written for Raegan called, "Daddy Would Give You His Heart".

Raegan was born with Down Syndrome and a heart defect. She had to have open heart surgery at 3 months old. She is doing great now. Raegan is an amazing little girl and Austin and Justine are amazing parents. I have such respect for them.

Austin's dream would be for Garth Brooks to record the song.  He told me that Garth's decision to take a decade and a half off to raise his children was a huge inspiration. We are proud that Austin will perform the song for us during the 28 Hours of Hope this year.
