Luke Bryan is a good dude, The Band Perry and their record label part ways, and Blake Shelton is getting into the vodka business.  It’s your Nashville Minute for Wednesday, March 2, 2016.

Luke Bryan is not just a good dude; he’s a great one, last year he gave his tour opener, Dustin Lynch, a significant gift on their last tour date together.  Dustin never revealed what was given to him but now Dustin, who is on tour again with Luke, is talking.  Luke Bryan gave him a Rolex!  Dustin said it’s awesome because it gives him something to wear on the red carpets.

And more on the Luke front, an 8-year-old boy from Mason City, Iowa had his dream come true over the weekend when he got to meet Luke Bryan, Joesph has cerebral palsy and hydrocephalus and has been battling medical complications his whole life, and it was Luke’s music that has helped him through.  It turns out after his post about wanting to meet Luke went viral he was able to during one of Luke’s tour stops, Luke signed some stuff for the 3rd grader and hung out with him before the show.

The Band Perry has parted ways with their record label.  They posted on Facebook yesterday that the parting was mutual and amicable and look forward to taking steps on their next journey.

Blake Shelton is rolling out a new brand of vodka that he had a hand in making.  Blake has teamed up with Smithworks Vodka to create a triple distilled and charcoal filtered vodka that is bottled in Fort Smith, Arkansas.  Smithworks Vodka will initially be available in limited markets across the U.S., including Colorado. It’ll sell for $19.99 a bottle and from his Hillbilly Bone EP, he gives a recipe for a drink that Blake calls, “Kiss My Country A**” – 2 parts Smithworks Vodka and five parts ginger ale mixed in a mason jar with ice and a lime wedge.
