My Thoughts on the Las Vegas Shooting – Some Things You Just Can’t Explain

Yesterday was a tough day. I always try to find the sunshine and put a positive spin on things but yesterday I just couldn't find it. I needed a day to just digest it all and try to figure it out. I realize there are some things that you will just never find the answer too. There is no explanation for what happened. There are bad people out there...period.

Is there anything that could have been done to prevent this? Probably not. The only thing that might have deterred a case like this, in my mind, is if someone close to him noticed something odd and asked some questions. We all need to be attentive to our surroundings and don't be afraid to ask questions. Those who have nothing to hide have nothing to hide and have no problem answering questions.

We win by going back to what we do. We cannot let this change our freedom loving nature. We win by being good, loving, caring people. We win by teaching our children love, tolerance, respect and acceptance and being a proper example. We need to spend time with our loved ones and create a peaceful existence and demeanor.

I don't believe there is a magic explanation to this. There are broken people and this guy slipped past everyone. Let this bring us together and realize how precious life is and quit our bickering and wrap our arms around each other in comfort and love. We need each other. We are one.
