I have battled some odd health issues through the years. It all started as a child with defective heart valves and has continued all the way through my adult life. I am a diabetic and battle that daily but have had some other not so cool maladies over the last few years too. Here are few of my non-favorites.

I had a heart attack back around 2007 and had a stint put in. I have had a massive MRSA infection under my arm the size of a banana that had to be sliced out. I have had my sciatic nerve pinched in my spine and had some of my discs shaved down during a back surgery. I have had massive super bug infections that caused them to have to fillet my groin like a trout a year of so ago and now I have eye herpes. Woo hoo!

I have been taking heavy antibiotics for another infection and have developed about every side effect possible. Saturday I woke up with a pain in my right eye that was just intense and it was red as Santa's suit. I saw an eye specialist who gave me tons of drops and informed me that I had eye herpes. EYE HERPES! What had my right eye been up to that I wasn't aware of? I knew my body hadn't had unclean relations but apparently my eye was doing bad things. Turns out it is not the kind of herpes that is the sexually transmitted kind, it is Ocular Herpes. I couldn't even get pink eye, I had to get herpes. It is the same kind of virus that creates cold sores and the such and it is alive and growing in my eye. I have blurred and double vision as it has chosen to rest right across the middle of my pupil, and light just makes it even worse. Just another fun malady in my ever growing list of odd crap that my body has done to me. I will be hanging out here in the dark with my shades thinking I look cool while I battle the herpes in my eye.
