My Favorite Pizza Places in Fort Collins – Todd’s Top 5 [PICTURES]

I can't wait for The Great Colorado Pie Fight at the Northside Aztlan Community Center on Saturday, January 26th. You can buy your tickets here!  We have been talking about it on K99 for the past couple of weeks and it inspired me to list my "5 Favorite Pizza Places in Fort Collins".

5. Marco's

Marco's Pizza is at Prospect and Lemay in Fort Collins.  My wife and I started going there because it is close to the health club where we work out. Turns out they make great pizza and my wife loves their garlic butter sauce for the crust.

4. Cozzolas

Cozzola's Pizza wasn't even on our radar, but a friend told us we couldn't make a list of the best pizza in Fort Collins without including Cozzola's. They were right.  It's fantastic.  Seems like everyone in Fort Collins agrees.  I counted at least 15 "Best of Fort Collins" certificates from the Fort Collins Coloradoan on their wall. The pizza was so good I ate the leftover piece for breakfast the next morning. You can find Cozzola's at 1112 Oakridge Drive. There is also an Old Town location at 241 Linden Street.

3.  Panhandler's

Panhandler's Pizza has been in Campus West, on West Elizabeth for over 35 years. I went there when I was in College. It's just as good now as it was then.  My wife and I met there for lunch last week, so I could be reminded why I like it so much.  It's one of the 2 restaurants on my list that serves rectangular, not round pizza.  It is the best deep dish pizza in town.  You can buy it buy the slice at lunch and it's delicious.

2. Panino's

Panino's is famous for their Panino sandwich.  They also happen to have one of my favorite pizzas I have ever tasted.  The restaurant has been around for 35 years. It is tucked in between the Hilton, Fort Collins and The CSU Campus.  They also serve a rectangular pizza and I love it.  Even though it didn't top my list, the past few months it has been my favorite pizza place. I like to meet my wife there for lunch.

1.  Beau Jo's

Beau Jo's is beloved in the state of Colorado. It started in the mountain town of Idaho Springs decades ago and has since expanded to 8 locations along the Front Range. The Fort Collins location is in the heart of Old Town at the corner of College and Mountain.  The Mountain Pies are legendary. The extra thick crusts that are served with honey are some people's favorite part of the pie.  I couldn't put Beau Jo's anywhere but the top of my list of my "Favorite Pizza Places in Fort Collins.
