According to the Coloradoan, a 62 year old man from Longmont had his life taken from him after injuries he suffered from a crash on August 27th.

The victim, Guy Baird, was driving east on Larimer County Road 8E on August 27th when his motorcycle crashed into a deer near Carter Lake. Baird was ejected from the motorcycle at the time of the crash.

Baird was taken to Medical Center of the Rockies and was treated for the injuries that resulted from the crash. While the hospital did the best they could, Baird's life was taken on Monday.

Officials tell the Coloradoan that impairment and excessive speed were not factors in the crash.

Records show that this was the 29th vehicle-related fatality on Larimer County roads this year. That's compared to 16 at this time a year ago.
