Mother's Day is Sunday, May 13th.  Right around the corner!  Have you decided what you're doing for Mom this year?  Well here are some ideas to get you started.

  • Take Mom Out for a Nice Meal

This might seem like a no-brainer; but maybe you're stumped on where you can treat Mom to a meal that feels extra special.  Well my wife and I took our moms to the Rodizio Grill Brazillian Steakhouse for Mother's Day last year, and we all had a great time.  Rodizio is great because it has something for everyone: delicious meats, unique cocktails, and an incredible salad bar!  So mom can enjoy a little or a lot of whatever she wants!

Another favorite in my family is The Melting Pot.  If Mom loves fondue, she will LOVE The Melting Pot.  You can treat her to amazing food and drink in an atmosphere that's perfect for special occasions.  You can't ask for much more than that!

  • Take Mom for a Ride on the Fort Collins Streetcar

One of the most unique things you can do in Fort Collins is ride the streetcar in Old Town.  Opening on May 4th this year (just in time for Mother's Day), the vintage streetcar runs between Howes Street and City Park.  Tickets are only $2 apiece (although they have a history of being FREE on Mother's Day).  Why not start with a picnic with Mom in the park, then ride the streetcar into Old Town for some shopping?  Sounds like a slam dunk to me!

  • Spend the Day with Mom at the Fort Collins Museum of Art

Show mom you're the intelligent, cultured person she raised you to be!  The art museum in Old Town is a great way for you and Mom to spend some quality time together.  Tickets are only $4 apiece, and the museum hosts unique and intriguing exhibits all the time.  So you're bound to find something that will put a smile on Mom's face; although spending the day with you will probably have her smiling already!
