Wildfire Buring Near Estes Park In Rocky Mountain National Park (Fern Lake Fire)
A new wildfire is spewing smoke in Rocky Mountain National Park, near Estes Park, Colorado. According to the Coloradoan, air support was called to help contain the fire this afternoon.
At 6pm, Rocky Mountain National Park tweeted that the fire has grown to over 300 acres and is heading north toward the Ute trail.
The Larimer County Emergency Information website is calling this the "Fern Lake Fire".
To make matters worse for firefighters, the fire is located in an area that is not accessible by vehicles, but this also means no structures are at risk right now.
Smoke up the Fern Lake Trail. Fire fighters on their way to investigate. For now, Fern Lake Road and Moraine Park Campground are being evacuated. Bear Lake Road remains open.

A wildfire was reported this afternoon 3-1/2 miles east of the Moraine Park area of Rocky Mountain National Park. Fern Lake Trail, Moraine Park Campground, and all trails in the vicinity are currently being evacuated by Park Rangers.
