American Sniper has already set box office records and perhaps Michael Moore is just jealous. I have never had much respect for the man, now, I have none.

My parents always told me that if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything. Why some people go out of their way to be hurtful is beyond me. What does it gain? Case in point: Director Michael Moore with his views on the new movie by Clint Eastwood, American Sniper.

American Sniper is the story of Chris Kyle, U.S. Navy Seal, who had more sniper kills than anyone in modern history. He was then shot in the back at a gun range by someone with PTSD he was mentoring. So what is the big stir with Michael Moore? Here is his comment on the movie and Chris Kyle (all snipers):

"Lots of talk about snipers this weekend (the holiday weekend of a great man, killed by a sniper), so I thought I'd weigh in with what I was raised to believe about snipers. My dad was in the First Marine Division in the South Pacific in World War II," Moore wrote. "His brother, my uncle, Lawrence Moore, was an Army paratrooper and was killed by a Japanese sniper 70 years ago next month. My dad always said, 'Snipers are cowards. They don't believe in a fair fight. Like someone coming up from behind you and coldcocking you. Just isn't right. It's cowardly to shoot a person in the back. Only a coward will shoot someone who can't shoot back.'" - Director Michael Moore

Coward? To my knowledge, Michael Moore has never served in the military. As far as snipers go, they are probably some of the bravest men in the military being high targets by the enemy. They are some of the most well-trained people in the military and are so because they are charged with going out and potentially saving countless lives with the work they do.

Perhaps it's just jealousy. What movies has Moore done? Canadian Bacon with John Candy? Roger and Me? Sicko? Michael Moore...you have earned a spot in by book of all time dirt-bags!
