Meet the Newest Member of My Family – Brian’s Blog [PICTURES]

I love my family and my animals, who are part of the family, but we have a lot of heartbeats packed into a little house. I have told my family that no more heartbeats come in until one is gone. I know it sounds morbid but we just don't have room for more critters. Last week my daughter informed me that our 3 pet crabs that lived downstairs had died and that should count as a heartbeat gone. I shook my head but agreed so.....

My wife, daughter and grandson went to the shelter this week to rescue a kitty. I have always loved the cats I have owned in the past and was looking forward to having a little buddy to climb on me. I forgot how much fun it is to sit on the toilet and have a kitty walk between your legs and plop down for a rest in your underwear.

I am proud to introduce you to Karai {Ka Rye) our new cat. She was named by my grandson Zander who told me that Karai is April O'Neil's nemesis on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Welcome to the family kitty. We love you already.
