Meet My New Grandson Zayden Michael – Brian’s Blog [PICTURES]

I am a proud Grampa. My grandson Zayden Michael was born last night at 7:06 pm. He weighs 7' 10" and 20 inches tall. I am so blessed. Mom and baby are doing great. I am so proud of my daughter Vanessa. She was amazing during the whole process.

To get to witness the birth of a child is to witness a true miracle. I feel so blessed to have been able to be in the room to watch every second of this life changing event. I wept the moment he came out and fell in love immediately.

There was a wonderful group of nurses and doctors at NCMC that were absolute angels during the whole process. They even put up with me putting on rubber gloves and offering my help and my inability to refrain from drawing on the information board in the delivery room.

I am a very grateful man today. I have a new little buddy to give my love to and get to see my grandson Zander enjoy having a brother. I cannot image growing up without my brother. Thank you to all who sent well wishes and prayers. We are so blown away by all the love and support. It was a long day yesterday and by the end of it Zander and I crashed hard for a couple hours before I had to come to work and spread the news of this wonderful gift.
